Or Else is a service operated by Lilac Labs LLC, a Virginia limited liability company, doing business as Or Else. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information when you access or use our services.

• Account data: email address and/or phone number used for authentication
• Billing metadata: Stripe customer and payment method reference identifiers (not full card data)
• Goal and activity data: goal settings, check-ins, charge events, and related usage records
• Proof photos: images submitted as check-in evidence, stored securely and accessible only to you
• Device timezone: used to calculate goal deadlines accurately
• Device/app operational data: logs used for security, diagnostics, and reliability

3. How We Use Information

We process personal information to provide and operate Or Else, including account authentication, goal tracking, missed-deadline charging workflows, proof photo storage, notifications, support, and service reliability.

4. Legal Bases and Disclosures

Where applicable, we process information to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as security and fraud prevention.

5. No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Service Providers

We use third-party processors, including Supabase and Stripe, to provide core service functionality.

These providers process information on our behalf subject to contractual and legal safeguards.

7. Notifications

If enabled by you, Or Else schedules and delivers reminders to your device. You may disable notifications in-app or through device settings.

8. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete an eligible goal, associated check-in history and proof photos are removed from active systems, subject to legal, security, payment, and backup retention requirements. When you delete your account, account data, goals, check-ins, and proof photos are removed from active systems subject to the same limitations. You may request deletion by contacting support@orelse.app.

9. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is guaranteed to be fully secure.

10. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting support@orelse.app.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Or Else after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
